I like how you captured the brilliant colors of the sky and trees. The second one is cool with shadow from the tree on the left. Yesterday I was driving home and I wished I had my camera as the clouds were so big and fluffy that they created shadows on the mountains and was such a cool looking image.
Part of landscape photography is about where you are. This doesn't seem very grand to you because we live in this place and see these scenes over and over again. These shots are great. I especially like how you framed the first shot with the fence posts. and the second shot is excellent as well with the converging lines to the left, like the boat picture you all had to comment on in the discussion board.
These shots are, to some, absolutely breathtaking because they have never seen this landscape before.
I like the blue sky in each of them, it really says summer in VT. I think it is hard to take landscape shots around here, we are all so used to looking at the same things, like Kevin said. It feels like we have to hike a mountain to get a spectacular view when really there are great landscape shots everywhere.
These were a few of my landscape shots. I wasn't thrilled with any of them since they're pretty basic, but I like the colors of the top two a lot.

I really like the second photo. The shadows created by the trees are great! They make it unique.

ReplyDeleteThe final shot has a lot of energy; there is plenty of tension where the gentle blue sky meets the darkening, crisp horizon line.
