This first photo was my analogous color shot. It was a number of blue vases next to each other with the sky out the window behind them.
This second shot is my complementary color one. I find this one a lot more pleasing to the eye which I was surprised by. I especially like how there is just a small bit of red on the ends of the berries as well.
The monochrome picture of the blue vases is really stunning. I love the color and the way that the glass reflects light. It's a beautiful picture. I would like to see another picture of the same vases from a different angle, maybe with more of the blue and less of the sky. Great job.
These are both great. I like the blues as much as my classmates, but as they already discussed them a bit, I will compliment you on the incredibly striking photo of the grapes. I'm jealous!
I echo other's sentiments but add that when I clicked on the berries to look at a larger version there seemed to be a little focusing issue. The composition is terrific and definitely gets to the assignment.
I do agree that there is a bit of a problem with the focus on the berry shot. I only have a mini tripod -- not one that would reach that level of the berry bush -- at this point, so I had to hold the camera in my hand and with that close of a shot it was next to impossible to get a perfectly focused photo.
I like both pictures. The berries against the red barn are my favorite though. I think it reminds me of summer. You should look into getting a camera stick. It is much much easier to carry around and gives you most of the benefits of a full tripod. I use mine all the time. It really helps with focusing.
I like these shots. You really captured the colors and they are so sharp. I love the monochrome shot. The blues are so pretty. Great job.

I like the picture of the berries, the red on the end of them and the red behind work well together

ReplyDeleteNice picture of the blue vases with the lighter blue in the background. Also the second shot of the berries with the different color very nice!
ReplyDeleteBoth photos are excellent, good job. The vases are really cool, and perfectly fulfill the requirements for a analogous shot.
